Information concerning TAships will be broadcast to both the CS graduate students and CS undergraduate students sometime in mid-July. If you contact me earlier than this asking about TA opportunities for the Fall semester, you may not get a response: just look for the information to be broadcast to you by the 3rd week of July and if you didn't get it, then contact me using the address in the next paragraph.
You must send an email to the CCID csta to contact me regarding my role as TA coordinator or Assistant ACU. If you send it to zacharyf, I will just ask you to resend it to csta instead.
My research interests primarily concern combinatorial optimization with emphasis on the design of approximation algorithms for NP-hard combinatorial optimization problems. This includes, but is not limited to, problems in data clustering, vehicle routing, network design.
I also facilitate our "Programming Club", which is a group of students interested in algorithmic problem algorithmic problem solving. The main activity of this club is solving problems like one encounters at the ICPC, Google Code Jam / Kick Start, and Codeforces.
If you find this interesting, even if at a casual (non-competitive) level, do consider joining our mailing list. A link to the list can be found at the club information page.
